Driving downhill directly through Positano descending the winding one-way street, bypassing many local restaurants, leads to the heart of the town – the busy Piazza dei Mulini which is connected to a narrow downhill path and a few flights of occasional stairs leading down to the waterfront. In Piazza dei Mulini it is necessary to leave the car as all the roads leading to the seafront are pedestrianized. These streets also lead to the cathedral, to the shops selling lemons, shoes and clothes of the “Positano fashion”.
